Before you book — the practical stuff.
A few things that help us take the best possible care of your dog from day one.
Bring your dog’s own food
- We don’t provide food — please bring enough for the full stay
- Pack it clearly labelled with portion sizes and feeding times
- Fresh water is always available
- Special dietary needs and medications are fully accommodated
- Bring medication clearly labelled with instructions
Health & vaccinations
- Your dog must be up to date with core vaccinations
- Flea and tick treatment is required before any stay
- Please let us know about any health conditions in advance
- Dogs showing signs of contagious illness cannot be accepted
- In a vet emergency, we act immediately and contact you straight away
Bookings & payment
- Payment by bank transfer in advance to secure your booking
- Invoices sent via MoneyMonk (due within 14 days)
- All prices exclude VAT
- Refunds calculated based on days until arrival date
- Book early — availability is intentionally limited

How do I pay?
Payment & Securing Your Spot: Payment is by bank transfer in advance to secure your booking. Full payment is required before the arrival date.
- Invoices: Sent via MoneyMonk. Invoices are due within 14 days of the invoice date unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- Late Payment: A reminder will be sent. Persistent non-payment may result in recovery costs being charged and future bookings being declined.
- VAT: All prices are exclusive of VAT. VAT applies where required under Dutch law.
Important: Once your payment is received and your spot is secured, our Cancellation Policy applies. Refunds are calculated based on the number of days remaining until your arrival date.
Are there extra costs for medications?
No, there’s no extra charge for administering medication. Just bring everything clearly labelled with instructions and we’ll handle it as part of the normal routine.
Do you offer discounts for regular clients?
Yes — we offer custom rates for regular weekly clients and longer boarding stays. Get in touch and we’ll put together a rate that works for you.
Is the meet & greet really free?
Yes, completely free and no obligation. We think it’s important that every dog feels comfortable before their first stay, so we’d never charge for the introduction.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand plans can change. For all confirmed bookings, our cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 7 days before the booking:
Full refund - 3–7 days before the booking:
50% refund - Less than 3 days before the booking:
No refund - No-show:
No refund; the full amount will be invoiced
In exceptional circumstances—such as sudden illness of the dog—we will always look for a fair solution. Please contact us as soon as possible at hello@happypuppies.nl.
Do you charge extra for puppies?
Puppy care is priced on request since every young dog has different needs. Get in touch and we’ll give you a clear quote based on your puppy’s age and what they need.
