Dog Care Blog: Tips, Reviews & Advice

Tips for dog owners, from a pet sitter in The Hague

From product recommendations to training tips and health advice: everything a pet owner in The Hague needs to know.

This blog is written by Camila, the founder of Happy Puppies. For four years she has cared for dogs, cats and other pets in The Hague (Den Haag). Dogs stay and play at her home, and she visits cats, rabbits and birds in their own homes. What she learns along the way, she shares here with you.

You'll find practical tips for everyday life with your dog: from learning to eat calmly to preparing for a first stay away from home. We also write honest product reviews of the things we use ourselves, from food bowls and slow feeders to lick mats. Some articles contain affiliate links. When they do, we always say so clearly in the article.

Every piece of advice comes from practice. We only write about what we see working with the animals in our care, and we tell you honestly when something doesn't suit every dog. No two dogs are the same: what calms one dog can make another restless.

Most articles are about dogs, because they stay in our home and we learn from them every day. As Camila also cares for cats, rabbits and birds, articles for other pet owners may follow too. Do you have a question, or a topic you would like to read more about? Let us knowand we will include it in a future article. New articles also appear in our newsletter.
